MILITARY CONSULTANT

For senior officers and senior NCOs entering corporate consulting, government affairs, defense industry, and board work — advisory built around your last 10 years of command, not your first job out.

Different market. Different help.

You're not looking for a job. You're looking to monetize 20+ years of senior responsibility. The work isn't resume coaching — it's market positioning, personal-brand build, network activation, board readiness, and pricing your experience like the asset it is. Military consultant advisory is for women whose next move is not employment in the traditional sense.

The advisory engagement.

  • Personal positioning. Who you are in the market — in one paragraph and one tagline. Different from a resume summary by an order of magnitude.
  • Niche selection. Corporate consulting vs. government affairs vs. defense industry vs. nonprofit board service vs. operator-CEO. The right door, not all the doors.
  • Thought leadership. Keynote, op-ed, podcast presence, LinkedIn cadence. Built to move the right rooms.
  • Network mapping. The 30 people who unlock the next decade.
  • Pricing. What your hour is worth and how to ask for it without flinching.
  • Board readiness. If non-profit board service is the path — board CV, governance literacy, the search-firm rolodex.

Frequently asked

Common questions.

What rank does this fit best for?

O-3 through O-6, senior NCOs E-7 and up, and Federal SES equivalents. The common thread is 15+ years of command/leadership scope and a track record bigger than a resume can communicate.

How long is an engagement?

90-day sprints with optional renewals. Most women run two sprints back-to-back, then drop to quarterly check-ins.

Do you help with board placements?

Yes — board CV, governance literacy, search-firm intros, fellowship pathways (BoardLead, CivicAction, etc.). We don't place directly; we get you ready.

Can you help me start a consulting practice?

Yes. Includes positioning, pricing, contract language, the first three engagements, the back office (LLC, insurance, accounting referrals).

How is this different from career coaching?

Career coaching is for women going into employment. Consultant advisory is for women going into independent practice, board service, or senior placement that won't come from job boards.

Is this only for officers?

No. Senior NCOs with the right scope and trajectory are the right fit. Rank is a proxy; the real measure is whether you're marketing 20 years of leadership, not 5 years of skill.

Confidentiality?

Default. Most engagements are quietly outside the public roster. NDAs in place.
